In October, 2003, I was invited to Portland, Oregon, for what turned out to be a remarkable week in the development of my project of fine art sexual photography – photographing couples being genuinely sexual with each other.
The focus of my week was my appearance as the featured artist at a popular local sex party. A group of friends and acquaintances who had been getting together regularly for an evening of open-ended sexual play were notified that I was going to be in town, and that I would be ready to photograph anyone at the party winterested in becoming part of my sexual photography project.
