Despite the limitations, the photos that came from this session are perhaps the most moving to me of all the couples photos I have taken over the years. The deep and powerful connection between Frank and Linda was palpable, despite the severe limits on his mobility resulting from his cerebral palsy.
Frank Moore was a brilliant artist, poet, and militant activist for the rights of people with disabilities, including their right to be seen and honored as fully sexual human beings. His ritual performances, include nudity and forms of sexual interaction he termed “Eroplay” started in Berkeley, California, and became famous internationally.
